The Bethune School has started its operations in years, two daughters of his role in a plot of land donated by Raja Dakshina Ranjan Mukherjee at Mirzapur in Calcutta. The college started functioning in 1879 with a call for tenders, Kadambini Bose. In 1883, she was a fellow Chandramukhi Basu, a native Christian girl Dehradun.
