Fergusson College Pune full overview

Overview of the rich history
With the end of the East India Company's regime in India and the failure of the first armed rebellion in 1857, for India to freedom, has called a new era in our country. It is clear that the emancipation of our country and the transformation of the lives of our people should be peaceful and constitutional. Indian renaissance began and has been the role of education for national aspirations. Bois de l'éducation de l'expedition (1854), the Education Commission of 1882 and the Hunter (1891), all indicative of the joint efforts of the Government and people of India in the education sector.
The founders of the Fergusson College was the first New English School, Pune in 1880 and later the Deccan Education Society (DES) in 1884. It was followed by the courage to start the first private university in India, 2 January 1885, to appoint as Fergusson College. The name was given in recognition of the support of Sir James Fergusson, Governor of the Province of Bombay and also the first patron of the DES. Senior William Wordsworth, the grand-son of the famous poet, was the master of ceremonies at the opening conference of the College. Thus, the Fergusson College has bridged the gap between the great city of London and Pune, a city of the Peshwa and on that occasion, Sir Fergusson, as the blessing of God on this new society.
The college has received affiliation from the University of Bombay and started her later in March in higher education with the opening of arts classes, then in 1892, with the science courses. The College held its class, nearly ten years in the Old Gadras Wada and other places in Pune.
A parcel of approximately 37 acres (part of the vast campus) was acquired on 99 years lease in 1891 by the DES. The first stone of the main building of the Fergusson College was founded in 1892 and the building was completed in 1895. The College began to function on this campus in 1895. Since then, the college has grown from strength to strength and gained a reputation for the imposition of nation-building. It is a place of pride in the heart of people, as a historical monument and a symbol of the country to fight for freedom. Although the founders Vishnushastri Chiplunkar, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Gopal Ganesh Agarkar, Mahadev Namjoshi Ballali and Vaman Apte shivram have become legends in the history of education and the fight for freedom of India, an issue of great importance that the College has been active and moral support of researchers and statesmen such as William Wordsworth Senior, Senior FG Selby, Lord Rippon, Sir William and Sir James Wedderburn Fergusson.Fergusson course is intended to be "the education seminar of the Indian missionaries. Justice Mahadeo Govind Ranade, the protagonist of the wisest political liberalism and secular ethics, which has its roots in Indian society, described the opening of the Fergusson college as "undoubtedly a great political importance as well.
The truth of this statement is supported by the fact that the College Fergusson great political leaders like former Prime Minister PV Narasimhrao and VP Singh, former Chief Minister Babubhai Patel, former Minister of Information and Broadcasting Communication UN Barrister Gadgil, Acharya Kripalani, Veer Savarkar and SM Joshi. Gopal Krishna Gokhale, who was described by Mahatma Gandhi as his political guru and mentor, has a flavor to the Fergusson College. In his speech at the time of construction of the cornerstones of the new English School and Fergusson College building on March 5, 1885, Sir James Fergusson said that the opening of the college is more national than of a local company. He said: "... that it has developed because of the self-denying patriotism, in fact, teachers of the college. It is true that they are patriotic and deserves all the praise that the we can give them. "
Throughout its 122 years as a sanctuary there, Fergusson College has given the country, its alumni, great patriots, thinkers, philosophers, poets, writers, teachers, social workers, scientists, industrialists, entrepreneurs, researchers, managers and agents of the defense. There is no aspect of life that not basked in the sun of the spirit Fergussonian.
Consistent with its position as a leader in the field of education, some of its teachers and students have acquired in college, by the appointment of Vice-Chancellors of universities in Pune and others. A note in this respect are:
• Dr. G. Wrangler S. Mahajan,
• Dr. D. A. Dabholkar,
• Dr. Ram Takawale,
• Dr. M. G. Takawale
The College is a fruit of the Renaissance that swept the country since the beginning of the cultural and intellectual contacts with the West. To quote the platinum jubilee of the address of the then President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad (1960): "The Fergusson College was founded at a time when the attitude of the Indian masses to higher education type West was in a stadium and facilities for such education to all the Indian students have been insufficient. In addition to the colleges sponsored and managed by the government and Christian missions, there were few institutions of higher education, which is managed by the private or not-official bodies. The importance of the Deccan Education Society is a group of dedicated workers amounted to a crucial moment, with a provision to create schools for the best in the west of Indian education in terms of the people of this country. This is a company that has benefited from the nation without offending or alienating the time the leaders of India. Fergusson College, the first fruits of this effort. "
The Fergusson College completed 50 years in January 1935 and Sir CV Raman, the only one to receive the prestigious Nobel Prize in science, the president of the Golden Jubilee function. He spoke highly of the location of the Fergusson College, in the history of our country, as stated in his speech: "... ... Standing here today, I think that history is written in the history of Poona self - help, the history of independence, the greater and constructive national effort, that history is written in Poona, was written at this point ... .... Mahatma Gandhi, in his message and Dr Mahajan at that time says: "Who will not be enthusiastic about the nobility of service by the Company and the Fergusson College in the cause of education?"
The Diamond Jubilee of the Fergusson College was celebrated in 1945 and Sir Tej Bahadur Sapru, former Liberal leader in India, grace the occasion that the President of the function. Our Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, expressed his feelings of the Order in his message on that occasion: "... ... to the ideal of service, they sent many others known and unknown, but nevertheless, good for workers in India for freedom and progress. So, on this occasion the Diamond Jubilee of the Order, I would like to join many other people want you more chance of training the youth of India and the preparation of a true citizen of free India. "
Jubilee Platinum (Amrut Mahotsav ") was celebrated in 1960 in the nice way with Dr Rajendra Prasad, then President of India, honor and the President of the function. It was the second visit of Dr. Rajendra Prasad to Fergusson College, the first in 1954. In his speech he said that in his first encounter with Mahatma Gandhi in 1917, the Fergusson College was designed by Gandhi as a model for other colleges.
The 90th anniversary of the Order was celebrated in 1976 under the chairmanship of Shri YB Chavan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Government of India. In his presidential address, he showered words of praise for the great service Fergusson College in the country. In his speech he said: "I am proud that Rajaramian but regret that I am not a Fergussonian.
The centenary of the college was celebrated on 1 June 1985. Shri Rajiv Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India, said in his speech on the occasion, "Fergusson College symbolize India in the 20th century, the symbol of a new system of education in our country. In a sense, is built in the history of our struggle for freedom. "He referred to Fergusson College as a pocket of excellence to produce individuals who can rise to levels unheard of and unimaginable.
On this occasion, Shri PV Narasimhrao, former Prime Minister of India paid great tribute to the school as follows: "This conference was born as a duplicate of the Indian National Congress, has always kept the history. He has the political leaders of all shades of the political spectrum, including ultra INFRAS May and if I say, administrators, academics, researchers, writers, sportsmen and many other types of personalities that the country can be proud of "
Vision
The founders of the DES and Fergusson College, have been more than convinced of the need to prevent the spread of knowledge of the West, as an urgent necessity for the Indian company to achieve social reform and as a powerful instrument of national regeneration .
The emphasis of the founder of the "knowledge", is displayed in the college emblem, which bears the inscription: "Knowledge is power." The Garuda (eagle) in this badge, a symbol of youth, with the rise of knowledge in a vast sky of the challenges and opportunities.
Management
The daily management of the school is run by the Local Committee of Governors of the College. In addition to various services on the basis of non-advisory committees that help monitor the proper functioning and growth of these services.

"Since It's a seven-over-a-side game, we can now expect a great contest and New Zealand may be tested. A good chance for the Scots." Righto, it's probably their best chance to cause an upset here.

Here are the game permutations due to the reduction in overs. Just two overs for the powerplay, two bowlers can bowl a maximum of two overs each, and three additional bowlers with an over each.

About External Authorization

Registration and licensing of external candidates at the University of Pune

A large number of prospective students may not be regular courses at universities or departments of University of Pune, either due to lack of funds or the availability of time to attend full-time courses or because they are in remote locations away from the university. Some of these are either at work or Housewives elderly or people who do not have regular courses.

University of Pune in recent decades, these for students through their external program that allows them to apply for certain courses, self-learning the prescribed syllabi and directly appear for the tests for graduate or post-graduate degree in specific disciplines.

Under this program the University of Pune awards degrees such as BA and B. com. and post-graduate courses such as MA, M. com, M.Sc. (Mathematics), M.A. (Mathematics), L.L.M. Class, and improving specific investigations. This option is used by students about 50,000 annually.

Problems of the old process

Until the academic year 2003, the registration and processing of the aapruba is the traditional method and medium paper printing and communication technologies by the post office. In many cases, prospective candidates will travel to Pune and visit the University campus or delayed in the mail and, occasionally, the loss of documents in transit. All this with a lot of time and unwanted cost burden among them discomfort and inconvenience.

In many cases, the information and rules and regulations forms and prospectus can not be clearly interpreted by applicants, particularly for understanding the standard eligibility and ATKT the necessary documents, forms, selection subject, as per the University Act, fee structure, due dates, test methods, etc.

The printed information about general and to be wider than something which is specific for a particular candidate in their specific context. Instead of reading this huge amount of general information that the candidates have needs assistance to maintain his registration fprmalities. All this requires face-to-face interactions of a large number of candidates with a limited staff of the Department for External Relations of the University of Pune. This led to significant delays and inconvenience for the candidate next to an inadvertent impact on management.

To expedite the candidate at the University of Pune distributes the same process and the available services and 9 universities in the year 2002. However, the limitations of traditional system implementation and help the candidate should not be at the desired level.

New Internet-based process

After a careful evaluation of the current system and past experience, it decided to completely reengineer traditional methods in the general interest of candidates by using advances in Web technology. The main purpose is to evaluate candidates by reducing their costs and avoid delays and inconvenience. University of Pune is the work of the design, development and introduction of this system in Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL).

From the academic year 2003, the entire process of registration and accreditation of external candidates is a website on the Internet, so the candidates can now from anywhere, anytime. The application form can be filled either from any Internet cafe or a home computer connected to the Internet. The candidate must not make a trip to Pune or physically come to interact with management of universities. The candidate may, under the "Apply Online" process within 15 minutes with the help of a computer literate person.

Mass personalization

The website specifically for this purpose includes all information and rules about the courses, including the curriculum, requirements, fee structure, date, etc. However, the software on this website for completing application form on the Internet is designed so that the candidate is a step-by-step process to guide and fill out the form below. The next piece of information requested by him on the basis of on-line processing of his previous entries, and the interpretation and application of different rules to his specific case.

Thus, the candidate gets a feeling that such application is a custom for him or for him individually. Because it is also for a large number of candidates, the application process is generally through a faceless mass to a personal service to real needs of applicants. This is the method of transfer is determined by the external part of a role of education to find a new role of facilitator education.

Call Center and IVRS facility

Additionally, the candidate is facilitated by a call center. You can use the Broker phone line Marathi or Hindi or English and their problems solved so that the registration and processing of the aapruba can be completed smoothly.

Facilitating Student Center

MKCL has proposed setting up a student center facilitation tehsils of Pune, Nasik and Ahmednagar districts and all other headquarters of the district. Candidates may counseling, personalized help desk, computer and Internet facilities to provide adequate support for the center of it, so they have a problem with electronic form filling process.

Post-added application services

Applicants may at any time the status of their case or amend the information directly to the site and immediately receive by e-mail (in addition to printed communication sent by post) the identification the forms, certificates and documents by post, demand draft charges and pictures; eligibility status; discrepancy report (if any), the test schedule, messages and reminders, status checks the SMS; printed Registration Card and verification occurred Card, etc.
