MTNL Launched Low-Cost Pre-Paid 3G Services

The move should help MTNL more quickly build a customer base for 3G one of its rivals to high-speed mobile data services in New Delhi and Mumbai, the two circulars MTNL offering its services.

Sinha, told local media that the pre-paid 3G services would be launched in Mumbai, where the operator has more than 2.4 million mobile users in the coming days and that MTNL expects to sign between 200,000 and 300,000 3G subscribers in the next 12 months. MTNL, which claims that its 3G service offers downlink speeds of 3.6 Mbit / s, and customers using services like mobile TV, video calls and voice over IP now offers 3G SIM cards only 300 Indian rupees (U.S. $ 6.39), and has a range of pre-paid coupons available 3G little INR99 ($ 2.11). This low-end coupon - Trial Pack 3G "- allows users to download up to 50 MB of data within 15 days, but does not include free minutes of local video calls.

At the top of the pre-paid coupon 3G range is the "3G in 2500" coupon. It takes INR2, 500 ($ 53.22) offers unlimited downloading data and 150 minutes of free video calls over a period of 30 days.
