JPL has signed a memorandum of understanding for setting up 2520 MW plant with an investment of over Rs.11, 340 crore in Chhattisgarh and 2640 MW with an investment of over Rs.11, 880 crore in Jharkhand.
JSPL has acquired development rights to 20 billion tons EL Mutun iron ore reserves in Bolivia, South America. It plans to invest 2.1 billion U.S. dollars in the coming years for the extraction and the creation of a plant of 1.7 MT of steel, 450 MW, Sponge Iron 6 tons and 10 tons of ore Iron Pellet Plant. The project will generate employment for thousands of people and catalyze economic growth in the Republic of Bolivia. This is the largest investment by an Indian company in Latin America and foreign investment in the largest project in Bolivia.

The fuel for industrial development in the state of Chhattisgarh, JSPL has set up the first industrial park over 750 acres of land in Distt. Raigarh, where more than 30 units have already started operations .. More than Rs. 1200 crores investment is expected in this industrial park and its full operational capability is expected to employ over 5,000 people. JSPL provides continuous and regular supply at a competitive rate of 2.50 per unit for industrial units located in the industrial park Jindal and speed of the power to remain firm for a period of 5 years.
In the portfolio, JSPL has a new dimension to the exploration and extraction of minerals and precious metals such as diamonds, precious stones, gold, platinum group minerals, base metals , oil sands etc. Jindal Rex Exploration Pvt. Ltd was established as a joint venture with Rex Diamond Mining Company, headquartered in Canada and the operational center in Belgium. Introduction is made in diamond exploration, gold and minerals under reconnaissance permit (RP) over 2500 sq.km Jahspur in the district of Chhattisgarh state. Another area of 3009 sq.km in the adjoining state of Jharkhand is allocated for the exploration of diamonds, gold, base metals etc. We will soon begin exploring for diamonds in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
