Sardar Patel College of Engineering Overview

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sardar Patel College of Engineering (SPCE) was established in 1962 as a Government Aided Engineering College. It was launched with three classical training., Ie., Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 40 in each branch, which was later increased to 60. The Institute is affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
To boost the diploma engineers to improve their skills and knowledge of four years part-time (evening) courses in civil engineering, electrical and mechanical arms have been during the years 1985 . SPCE is the only institution of such a provision for secondary education. The next phase of development aimed at raising the level of the Institute of Graduate Studies by the beginning of the first postgraduate course in ME (Civil) in Structural Engineering Subjects in 1988 with the support of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD ), Government of India. Then, several part-time graduate programs in civil and mechanical engineering disciplines were introduced.
Another development was the introduction of new courses in emerging areas of Electronics and Computer Engineering. These courses are started in the year 1995 as a self-financing programs.
Over the past 35 years, the college has an excellent reputation in the field of technical Education.SPCEis one of five colleges (including those affiliated with the University of Mumbai) Grade'A received notice of the government. Maharashtra. S.P.C.E. has a proud tradition of excellent academic results for a high grade, gold and other prices in the university examinations.
The College has over 7500 students and over 40 post-graduate Engineers.Many of our alumni are now leaders in their professions and now SPCEAlumni can be found in all public and private organizations active in different fields, often high level and the main areas of the organization.
