NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, a leading national institution in the field of education and research, is a university residence created in 1998 by the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University Act (Andhra Pradesh, 34 of 1998) of the Andhra Pradesh state legislature. The university offers the possibility of unlimited opportunities in the legal profession and sets new standards in legal education. The University has the primary mission of creating a generation of competent lawyers and people who are not only lawyers and Bench but will also be equipped effectively to the requirements of the new millennium, and participate in community service. The University Grants Commission recognized NALSAR under Articles 2 (f) and 12 (b) of the UGC Act, 1956. The objectives of the university include:
• To develop or legal education at all levels to achieve excellence
• The organization of higher education and research in all branches of law
• To disseminate legal knowledge by organizing lectures, seminars, symposia, workshops and conferences
• The promotion of cultural diversity, moral and ethical values to promote and foster the rule of law and the objectives enshrined in the Constitution of India
• maintain contacts with institutions of higher education and research in India and abroad, promotion of legal awareness in the community to achieve economic and social justice
• study and training projects in the field of laws, regulations and judicial institutions

NALSAR was quickly built a reputation for excellence in legal education within a short period. Teachers and graduates quickly indeed, not only nationally but also internationally. NALSAR is currently the most infrastructure, committed faculty, very talented students, the state of the art facilities and partnerships with world-class institutions.
The campus of the University - Justice City - is located in a site of 50 acres adjacent to the Shameerpet Lake about 28 km from the city. The campus is located on a wide open and serene site where the buildings should be. NALSAR Architecture is a creative effort and practice of campus design statement. Green on Campus developed and maintained in recent years, not only helps the campus community to relax, but also attracts the birds to colonize. The ecological balance is provided on campus by a large pond that collects rainwater. The campus design interweaves the tropes of legal service and aesthetics through a combination of horizontal and vertical Stern gray, white and sweet family Burnt Sienna.

The main buildings on the Campus Administrative Block, Academic Block, Library, Computing Center, MK Nambyar SAARC Law Center (which houses a state-of-the-art Moot Court Hall and a conference with video conferencing facilities). Two buildings house the NC Banerjee Center for the Study of Intellectual Property and Dr. SP Chatterjee Center for Environmental Studies. There are also three blocks of homes for boys and three blocks of homes for young girls with a large common dining room, three blocks from the right quarters, consisting of 12 units, three quarters of units of support staff, consisting 12 units, the Vice-Chancellor of residence and a Guest House. The construction of teachers Convention Center (TCC), which has 22 rooms and 3 suites was higher than in January 2007 and construction of the amphitheater is booming. In addition to the 6 blocks of houses that are currently available, the university is building more than 2 blocks of housing for students. A sports stadium, games and recreational activities in addition to the installation of indoor games in all blocks of the hostel.


Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad and Institute of Insurance and Risk Management IIRM invites applications for a law degree in financial services and markets a period of two years (four semesters), self finance program offered by the Institute of Law, University Nalsar Insurance and Risk Management, Hyderabad from September 2009
Eligibility: Graduate of a discipline with 50% marks.
Selection criteria: the selection, in addition to academic qualifications and experience are based on an interview to be held in Hyderabad.
Registration Fee: RS. 4 lakhs paid in two equal installments
