About External Authorization

Registration and licensing of external candidates at the University of Pune

A large number of prospective students may not be regular courses at universities or departments of University of Pune, either due to lack of funds or the availability of time to attend full-time courses or because they are in remote locations away from the university. Some of these are either at work or Housewives elderly or people who do not have regular courses.

University of Pune in recent decades, these for students through their external program that allows them to apply for certain courses, self-learning the prescribed syllabi and directly appear for the tests for graduate or post-graduate degree in specific disciplines.

Under this program the University of Pune awards degrees such as BA and B. com. and post-graduate courses such as MA, M. com, M.Sc. (Mathematics), M.A. (Mathematics), L.L.M. Class, and improving specific investigations. This option is used by students about 50,000 annually.

Problems of the old process

Until the academic year 2003, the registration and processing of the aapruba is the traditional method and medium paper printing and communication technologies by the post office. In many cases, prospective candidates will travel to Pune and visit the University campus or delayed in the mail and, occasionally, the loss of documents in transit. All this with a lot of time and unwanted cost burden among them discomfort and inconvenience.

In many cases, the information and rules and regulations forms and prospectus can not be clearly interpreted by applicants, particularly for understanding the standard eligibility and ATKT the necessary documents, forms, selection subject, as per the University Act, fee structure, due dates, test methods, etc.

The printed information about general and to be wider than something which is specific for a particular candidate in their specific context. Instead of reading this huge amount of general information that the candidates have needs assistance to maintain his registration fprmalities. All this requires face-to-face interactions of a large number of candidates with a limited staff of the Department for External Relations of the University of Pune. This led to significant delays and inconvenience for the candidate next to an inadvertent impact on management.

To expedite the candidate at the University of Pune distributes the same process and the available services and 9 universities in the year 2002. However, the limitations of traditional system implementation and help the candidate should not be at the desired level.

New Internet-based process

After a careful evaluation of the current system and past experience, it decided to completely reengineer traditional methods in the general interest of candidates by using advances in Web technology. The main purpose is to evaluate candidates by reducing their costs and avoid delays and inconvenience. University of Pune is the work of the design, development and introduction of this system in Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL).

From the academic year 2003, the entire process of registration and accreditation of external candidates is a website on the Internet, so the candidates can now from anywhere, anytime. The application form can be filled either from any Internet cafe or a home computer connected to the Internet. The candidate must not make a trip to Pune or physically come to interact with management of universities. The candidate may, under the "Apply Online" process within 15 minutes with the help of a computer literate person.

Mass personalization

The website specifically for this purpose includes all information and rules about the courses, including the curriculum, requirements, fee structure, date, etc. However, the software on this website for completing application form on the Internet is designed so that the candidate is a step-by-step process to guide and fill out the form below. The next piece of information requested by him on the basis of on-line processing of his previous entries, and the interpretation and application of different rules to his specific case.

Thus, the candidate gets a feeling that such application is a custom for him or for him individually. Because it is also for a large number of candidates, the application process is generally through a faceless mass to a personal service to real needs of applicants. This is the method of transfer is determined by the external part of a role of education to find a new role of facilitator education.

Call Center and IVRS facility

Additionally, the candidate is facilitated by a call center. You can use the Broker phone line Marathi or Hindi or English and their problems solved so that the registration and processing of the aapruba can be completed smoothly.

Facilitating Student Center

MKCL has proposed setting up a student center facilitation tehsils of Pune, Nasik and Ahmednagar districts and all other headquarters of the district. Candidates may counseling, personalized help desk, computer and Internet facilities to provide adequate support for the center of it, so they have a problem with electronic form filling process.

Post-added application services

Applicants may at any time the status of their case or amend the information directly to the site and immediately receive by e-mail (in addition to printed communication sent by post) the identification the forms, certificates and documents by post, demand draft charges and pictures; eligibility status; discrepancy report (if any), the test schedule, messages and reminders, status checks the SMS; printed Registration Card and verification occurred Card, etc.
